ipTEST is a leading developer and manufacturer of high volume production test systems for all types of Discrete Semiconductors. We are a dedicated, engineering-based team, with all the skills to complement the demanding needs of our expanding customer base. Our Guildford technical base has become a "centre of excellence" focusing mainly on power MOSFET testing.

Research and Development is our largest department. We have introduced a significant new product every year of our existence and our Mostrak test system has been through constant cycles of renewal, whilst always retaining compatibility. We have a culture of in-house design and development, as this has continuously proved to be the only method of achieving the elusive performance and productivity targets demanded by our customers. Above all, ipTEST is responsive.

An important part of our history was a 9-year period as an autonomous product group within LTX Corporation. During this period, Mostrak sales grew six-fold, we established world-wide sales and support, and, most importantly, we absorbed a big-company culture that allows us to run with a fully professional set of operational and quality procedures normally only found in the larger capital equipment suppliers.

We value our staff and our company culture highly. We work hard to ensure that all our staff are well informed, and have all the tools to be completely responsive to our customer' needs. We are ISO9001 registered of course, and are in our 7th continuous year of certification.

Our world-wide market means that most sales are exports, and we have been recognised as one of our countries highest export achievers for the second time, with the Queen's Award for Enterprise, in 2002.

To date, over 250 systems have been installed, but note that each Mostrak contains multiple testers, and if measured by conventional discrete test system statistics, the total lies well over 600 system equivalents.

At our Guildford base we operate with seamless groups for R&D, Manufacture and Test, Applications, Training, Customer Support, and Technical Sales.

World-wide technical support is available through our network of trained service engineers in Europe, USA/Mexico, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, China, and Japan.

Our History

ipTEST was founded specifically to design and build production line testers for the manufacturers of discrete components.

Our tester, introduced in 1987, was the world's first, and remains the only true indexed parallel system, offering backend throughput increases between 2 and 4 times the output of all competitive systems.

Continuous development has evolved the latest version, Mostrak, into the most comprehensive capability for all power discrete products at both wafer and backend.
